When the Abbey of St. Ouen was abandoned in November 1790, the town hall moved into the abbey wing that adjoins the church on the north side, which had been recently built (as a dormitory) before the monks were forced to surrender it to the municipality. It is in Neoclassical style, with 19th and 20th century additions. The building suffered a fire in 1926 but was restored. There is an equestrian statue of Napoleon I on the city square by Vital Dubray (1813-1892).
